Pageants, the Long Beach trio featuring former Avi Buffalo founding member Rebecca Coleman, guitarist Devin O’Brien, and drummer Dylan Wood, have already captured the attention of the media, being favorably compared to everyone from Mazzy Star to Liz Phair, highlighting Coleman’s guitar driven rhythm cradled by waves of her celestial vocal melodies. Filled with warmth and vibe, their music evokes raw emotion without ever losing its cool, rapidly making fans including former-Stereolab singer Laetitia Sadier, and local favorites Best Coast.
