Driven by sold out arenas and immense fan interest, esports has become a cultural tsunami driven by high levels of participation and engagement from millennial gamers. While this growth has resulted in millions of viewers, it has also made it difficult to focus on the individual players and their stories - the celebration of the gamer. Much like the Olympics, esports depends on great storytelling that highlights each players’ journey from amateur to legend. The premiere provider of digital gamer entertainment, Machinima will help define the intersection of gamer culture and entertainment by bringing together prominent figures to talk about how esports evolves in the next 12-24 months and strategies for increased viewership and multi-platform viewing.
