Von Won was born in St.Croix of the US Virgin Islands and raised on the Southeast side of Houston,TX. A successful sports career landed him a full paid track and field scholarship to Rice University, where he became a record breaking NCAA All-American long jumper leaping over 26 feet. After a career ending knee injury, Von Won's passion for athletics was transferred to his love for music as he began to pursue a full time career in entertainment. As a recent college graduate he launched his first record label and began releasing mainstream music with some of Houston's more well known artists. Coming home from a concert one night, Von Won was stopped by police and had a near life ending altercation where he was tazed multiple times and abused by 5 officers. Von Won calls that night, "Shock Therapy," and claims this was the eye opening experience he needed to help him get his life together. Being that he was recently married with a 2 month old daughter, this motivated him to go back to church and live his life for Christ. He began using his music to inspire people and make the world a better place. Von Won is now an ordained pastor and is still making phenomenal music with some of the top hip hop artists in the industry. His next move is launching the Grown And Saved brand by re-releasing his entire catalog of music, making Grown And Saved apparel available worldwide and hosting Grown And Saved concert events across the US. Grown And Saved also has future plans of moving into television, books and films. Stay tuned.
