Just a few years into a solo career, she has proved herself an idiosyncratic and boundary-smashing artist and a passionate advocate for the arts who is changing the face of indie rock in her native Australia and around the world.
The world become acquainted with Barnett's work through rapturously received songs like Avant Gardener and History Eraser in 2014 but 2015 will finally see the release of her debut album. "Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit" will be released on March 24th and with scorching tracks like first single Pedestrian At Best have music bibles like Pitchfork, NME and Rolling Stone calling it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
