Genuine, anointed, powerful, and real are words that have been used to describe the ministry of Minister Ahmad Washington. Known on stage as A.H.M.A.D.D, which means Accepting Humility Mastering All Divine Direction, this Christian Rapper and ordained minister has set his sights on fulfilling the perfect will of God for his life. A.H.M.A.D.D is the visionary and founder of MovementUP and also a member of the highly acclaimed and award nominated Christian rap group F.L.O.W. Although A.H.M.A.D.D continues to serve as a member of this anointed group, during a period of prayer and fasting the Lord made it clear to A.H.M.A.D.D that he also has a personal assignment and ministry that extends beyond his allegiance to his beloved group. A.H.M.A.D.D has released three projects with F.L.O.W, Breakthru, It'z Tyme, and the CenTex Holy Hip Hop Compilation Vol. 1, but he has released a solo project entitled Story 2 Tell available at www.cdbaby.com/artist/ahmadd1 as well as iTunes and other digital retailers. The title track from this disc has quickly put A.H.M.A.D.D in high demand as an artist and national speaker at youth and young adult camps, prisons, group homes, musicals, colleges, and a host of outreach events. The title track is a vivid picture of the difficulties that A.H.M.A.D.D had while growing up witnessing his mother being physically abused, watching her result to alcoholism, while living in a neighborhood in which drug trafficking appeared to be the only option. Although his circumstances appeared to be impossible; one day A.H.M.A.D.D met the one true God that would lead him to overcome these impossible odds. This life changing relationship with Jesus Christ has cause him to be a blessing to others and has given him a powerful testimony about the faithfulness and power of the Lord Jesus Christ. A.H.M.A.D.D. was selected in 2008 by the Texas Gospel Announcers Guild as the third place selection for the Rap Artist Of The Year. A.H.M.A.D.D. was the 2009 winner of the talent showcase at the Unite and Conquer Christian Music Festival. A.H.M.A.D.D. has opened up for national Christian rock groups such as Skillet, Pillar, Third Day, Glory Revealed, Seventh Day Slumber, Brit Nicole, and national Christian Rap artist KJ-52. In addition to his music accomplishments A.H.M.A.D.D. is also the founder and director of an organizatio called MovementUP. Through this youth services organization A.H.M.A.D.D. helps students understand that making positive changes in their lives requires that they make right choices. A.H.M.A.D.D. uses his musical and speaking gifts to convey messages about hard work, test taking skills, bullying, relationships with authority, decision making, and a host of other topics. Through MovementUP A.H.M.A.D.D. has developed a 3 week summer curriculum and teaches this course to students at the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas. A.H.M.A.D.D has a Bachelor and a Master degree in Social Work as well as a Master of Divinity from Baylor University and Truett Seminary respectively. He is the husband of Jennifer Washington and the proud father of two children, Jade and Jace. Prior to beginning this ministry full-time A.H.M.A.D.D worked as a Social Worker for the Methodist Children's Home serving at risk youth and their families. In addition to being an artist and preacher A.H.M.A.D.D currently serves as the College Minister at Carver Park Baptist Church in Waco, Texas where the mighty Dr. Gaylon P. Foreman is Pastor. Pastor Foreman says that A.H.M.A.D.D, "is a mighty man of God, who the Lord has raised up for such a time as this. He stands strong in the word and speaks with boldness and without compromise, while speaking to the issues that young people face today.
