Hickoids
Listen to Stop It You're Killing Me
It's 2013 and the Hickoids have been raising hell off and on for parts of four decades now. Reinvigorated and slimmed down to a touring act featuring original members Davy Jones (guitar) and Jeff Smith (vocals), Rice Moorehead holding down bass duties for several years now, and fresh blood Tom "Tony" Trusnovic and Lance "Slopoke" Farley both with the band for about a year now on guitar and drums repectively. Multi-instrumentalist Scott Lutz occasionally graces the stage for regional shows and records with the band.
The band's new album "Hairy Chafin' Ape Suit" is in the can and slated for a spring release to coincide with a SXSW appearance and their first ever European dates with San Francisco based gal pals The Grannies as the two bands share the stage on the "300 Years of Punk Rock Tour".
The new album, in the works for several years and totally re-recorded after the band decided to scrap a full release of previous tapes, offers everything longtime fans have come to expect: Punk, Country, Garage and Southern Rock. The live show offers all that with a feather dusting of performance art and the tickle of vaudeville.
Look for ongoing regional dates in the meantime.
