Chet Faker
The mysterious Chet Faker shot to fame when his cover of 'No Diggity' went viral, reaching Number 1 on indie music aggregator, Hype Machine.
His fame grew rapidly and he was soon invited to perform on the UK's heralded Black Cab Sessions while his recent single, Jeans and Wallet, was added to full rotation on Australian radio station JJJ.
Little is known about Chet Faker, but we can say he hails from Melbourne's deep disco scene, the influences of which he combines in his music with his acoustic past. This mix has given Chet Faker a unique style that fuses personal stories of love and loss with an electronica soul.
Chet Faker has completed his debut EP, Thinking in Textures, which is set for release in February 2012, and is already recording his album, scheduled for a late 2012 release.
