Listen to Honey Bee of Love

Texas garage rock legends The Krayolas -- genuine, Mexified, San Antonio rock 'n' roll stars -- return to South By Southwest Music + Media Conference with a new EP that captures all the fun and no borders range that made them famous. Side 1 presents "Honey Bee of Love" (T-Rex meets Doug Sahm and Buddy Holly), "All I Really Want to Do" (the Bob Dylan classic given a "Summertime Blues" kick in the ass) and "Gonna Walk Downtown" (take a walk on the West Side, baby). Side 2 offers the symphonic ballad "Isabel" (Enrique Iglesias move over) and two tracks featuring conjunto accordion legend Flaco Jimenez on "El Gatito y La Avispa" (a tale of drunkenness and cruelty) and "Americano 2012" (a tea party nightmare).

The Krayolas have released four critically-acclaimed albums since 2008 -- "La Conquistadora," "Long Leaf Pine (No Smack Gum)," "Americano" and "Tipsy Topsy Turvy." They are regulars on Sirius XM's "Kick Out the Jams!" with Dave Marsh and "Little Steven's Underground Garage," as well as on “Roots & Branches of Americana” with Ray Wylie Hubbard on KNBT-FM, "Anything Anything" with Rich Russo, KUT, KSYM-FM, KXTX-FM, KXTN-FM and KEDA. The Krayolas have been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered," PRI's "Whad' Ya Know?" with Michael Feldman, NBC News and in Texas Monthly, Pollstar and the Village Voice.

Come sing along with the one and only Tex-Mex Beatles.
