Night and Day: Creating the Intel One Mono Typeface
After the release of their VML- and Frere-Jones-designed corporate font, Intel sought to create a monospace version to support their thriving developer community, particularly vision-impaired developers. The pair and Intel’s brand team created Intel One Mono as an open-source font on Github and encouraged users to expand on it. We’ll walk through the complete process of research, font design, testing, and release to show how this new milestone in user-centered font design came to be.
