Mariella Paulino is a dreamer, thinker, and doer! She creates systems and tools that center on helping people interact better with the world around them, especially those with disabilities. She has worked in government, nonprofits, education, and everything else in between vacillating between project, data, and community management. In 2014 she launched her company, Project Hearing, after a dreadful experience with the police where her deafness was interpreted as non-compliance where she launched by selling bumper stickers that say "Deaf Driver." Since then, her work has expanded to include workshops, private consulting for individuals and businesses, and the invention of a few products for people with hearing loss that are in the process of getting patented. She works full-time as a Project Manager for one of the most aggressive tech initiatives at the City University of New York (CUNY TechWorks) and after work dedicates her time to PH, her passion project.
