Tech x Accessibility for Disability
According to a recently released report by the Center for Disease Control, about 1 in 4 Americans have a disability that impacts a major part of their life. People with disabilities are experts in disability-inclusive development and many explicitly understand how their disability intersects with every aspect of their lives. From enjoying a day at the beach, applying for a job, or even making friends, people with disabilities must navigate challenges that abled-bodied people don't have to think about. This workshop will focus on the role of technology, advocacy, and allyship in creating a more accessible and inclusive world for people with disabilities.
