Prioritizing high-touch personal service, Transparence Entertainment identifies unclaimed royalties, streamlines registration & claiming processes, provides transparent and accurate evaluation of earnings, and eliminates needless fees as well as expedites payments by acquiring royalties directly from the source. A professional vocalist and veteran industry executive, Shari’s background includes record label promotion for multi-platinum recording artists, management of tour settlements for top grossing concerts, union representation for above and below the line entertainment personnel, and most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer for the AFM & SAG-AFTRA Intellectual Property Rights Distribution Fund, a CMO responsible for the collection and distribution of royalties under U.S. Copyright Law. Her areas of expertise include Neighboring Rights, Intellectual Property Rights, Copyright Law, Labor Law, Contract Negotiation & Administration, Artist Development, Fundraising & Event Planning, Marketing & Promotion, and Budgeting & Analysis. She has participated as an educator, moderator & lecturer on numerous panels & workshops for the music community and is a prolific advisor and artist advocate who strives to ensure that performers have the proper education and tools to flourish. Shari has been actively involved with the Recording Academy with legislative initiatives, and serves on several boards including the Los Angeles Jazz Society, the Independent Alliance for Artists Rights (IAFAR), and the Environment of People Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated in its mission that music and the arts remain a central part of children’s lives and growth.
