#DisinfoVsDemocracy

Disinformation and the Effects on Democracy

Disinformation often represents an intentional effort to undermine the integrity of democratic systems & values. After 2016, we face stark questions. What is free will if there is no objective truth? Can social media knit us together more than it tears us apart? Is “computational propaganda” an effective means of “hacking” people? Intelligence, national security, and technology experts will discuss the actors, tactics, and dangers of information operations, past & present, and what can be done.
