Coal to Code: Reimagining a Disrupted Economy

How do communities at the front lines of economic disruption develop the skills, resources, and public imagination to transform their narrative and economies? We’ll share emerging initiatives on the Future of Work in Kentucky, such as Bit Source’s employment of software developers who were once coal miners, a model for integrating computational thinking into K-12 education designed with South Fayette (PA) School District, and an ongoing dialogue between leaders in the state and labs at MIT.
