Today’s devices, interfaces, screens and apps are no longer local. This talk will introduce anthropological, psychological and linguistic research on how people from different cultures, languages and places may interpret information differently. It will then show real-world examples of successes and failures. Finally these research learnings and examples will be transformed into a series of guidelines for how to approach design projects considering modern globalisation and multilingualism.
