Los Angeles-born & Dallas-raised, the experimental producer and cultivating lyricist, Blue, The Misfit, began his musical voyage in 2004. He is most known for his extensive production work at Top Dawg Entertainment, where under his former moniker “King Blue”, he produced popular tracks for every artist on the label, including Kendrick Lamar’s “P&P”, as well as Schoolboy Q’s “To The Beat” and Ab-Soul’s “Mixed Emotions” among others.

As an artist, Blue first released an EP in 2011 titled 'Numb' which introduced his dark and imaginative style of music making to a wide audience while also receiving critical acclaim from the Dallas music scene and beyond. The 2014 full-length follow-up LP, 'Child In The Wild' raised the bar both musically and lyrically from its predecessor and made Blue, The Misfit a household name in the world of hip-hop. Respected sites such as The Fader and HipHopDx featured songs and videos from 'Child In the Wild' and opened up his music to a new fan base. Released in conjunction with Red Bull, 'Child In The Wild' also allowed Blue to tour heavily and play festivals such as FunFunFunFest and JMBLYA among many others. Blue has been nominated for more than 10 Dallas Observer Music Awards over the last two years and took home awards including "Best Rap/Hip-Hop Act", "Best Producer" and "Best Live Act".

2016 is proving to be the biggest year yet for Blue, The Misfit as he readies the release of his new album 'Perfect Night...For A Funeral'. The album is Blue's most ambitious work to date as he explores his rock influences even deeper on the project. Working with respected, Grammy-Award winning musicians like Jordan Richardson and Sarah Jaffe throughout the album has allowed Blue to bring to life the music he has always wanted to make. You can hear it for yourself when 'Perfect Night...For A Funeral' is released this Summer.
