Positive energy, positive thought, and positive action; it's been an amazingly powerful mantra for Atlanta, GA based Rock & Rollers Avenue of the Giants.
"There's an energy that you can feel coming out of the performances that just makes everything feel in its proper place" states lead guitarist Foz Rock. "I feel like every experience in life, good and bad, has led me to the music we are currently creating; it's a great place to be."
When asked about the origin of the name Foz paints a darker set of circumstances leading to a personal revelation.
"We were on a west coast tour and I had someone slip something into my drink. It was a bad night, had to go the hospital, just an overall bad scene. Well, the show had to go on; as much as I didn't want to do anything other than lay in that hospital bed and shut out the world, I knew we had another show to do... Positive energy, positive thought, and positive action; it's been an amazingly powerful mantra for Atlanta, GA based Rock & Rollers Avenue of the Giants.

On that drive through Northern California I woke up to see the sign for the Avenue of the Giants highway and the name perked my interest. Little did I know that those next few miles would be life changing, but they honestly were. I felt a clarity in those woods, around those giant redwood trees, it was the peace I needed after having just nearly died the night before. I knew then that I needed to make a change for the better and Avenue was that change. " That experience base is extensive as Foz Rock had spent the better part of the previous decade touring the world with the crossover hit-makers / RIAA Gold Certified act REHAB ("Bartender Song/Sitting at a bar"); sharing the stage with Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Fallout Boy, Yelawolf, Blink-182, and countless others in the process.
Joining Foz in Avenue of the Giants are industry professionals Paul-Devon Lewow (Lead Vocals), Art Institute of Washington graduate Darrick Atwater (drums), and Atlanta Institute of Music graduate Justin Aldrich (Bass); All professional musicians, Lewow and Aldrich also possessing an RIAA Gold Certification for their performance with (lazyeye) on the "Ludacris Presents: Disturbing Tha Peace" LP. Atwater gives AOTG even more depth as Atwater, himself, is an accomplished producer/mixer; mainly out of the world-renowned Tree Sound Studios (ATL,GA) he is also a composer, writer and a player of more than a dozen different musical instruments. No stranger to near-death experiences either Darrick is a recovering addict now clean and sober for over 4 years. "These unique life experiences give us a prism of perspective on all walks of life. We feel we can relate to everyone we meet in some way or another." says Foz.
"Everything we write comes so naturally that we just kind of knew we had to give 200% towards this band" says Lewow. " We've become family and it's awesome having that unspoken understanding & respect in the creative process."
Avenue of the Giants has recorded/mixed their debut LP, entitled "Just Between Us" at the world-renowned Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA.
