North side Minneapolis born and bred Mac Irv gained a love for all music at an early age which stemmed from living directly across the street from musician Cornbread Harris, father of the legendary Jimmy Jam.

Since Mac Irv could talk his grandfather was teaching him how to rhyme, which then developed to him putting small poems and raps together. But Mac also had another love. Basketball! Basketball took up all the time that music didn't, and almost overtook the music because of his exceptional talent on the court. This talent got him a full scholarship to the University of Minnesota where he was an All Big Ten player. After graduation his professional career was cut short buy a career ending injury. This injury left him bedridden and allowed him to start writing music again. Is musical flame was quickly lit and Mac decided he was going to pursue music professionally.

In a short time Mac has become THE name in Hip hop in Minneapolis. So much so that he was selected to perform at Soundset 2014 alongside Nas, Atmosphere, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and more! Mac has released 3 full length Lp's and is set to release his fourth entitled Sincerely, Mac Irv very soon. His music is a mix of Kanye, J. Cole, and Jay-z.
