Crosss is a dark psych quartet who take inspiration from 70's proto-drone, lo-fi indie, noise and vintage metal. The dirge, punishing volume, and intensity of the instrumentation is offset by haunting and memorable melodies from vocalist Andy March. Prodigious drumming, and ambitious improvised guitar frames a set showing moments of both complex composition, and prolonged trance and meditative phrase.
Crosss' debut 12" 'Obsidian Spectre' was released on Telephone Explosion in 2013, and the follow-up 12" titled 'LO' drops in May 2015.
The group began in Halifax, Canada in 2012 as a duo, but following several relocations and lineup shifts, is now based in Toronto, Canada, and is a 3 piece.
Cross have toured extensively in Canada and the USA, and shared the stage with Viet Cong, Built To Spill, Moon Duo, Thee Oh Sees, King Tuff, Dirty Beaches, Pop1280, and Oneida, among so many others, earning a reputation as captivating, intense performers.
