JULIANNA BARWICK'S looped vocal compositions defy easy categorization, but are gaining acclaim worldwide. She's been lauded by NPR and The New York Times as well as Pitchfork and The Fader. The Brooklyn-based singer & composer recorded her 3rd album, Nepenthe, in Reykjavik, Iceland in the cold quiet of winter. She's toured recently with Sigur Ros, sung with children's choirs in Krakow and Lisbon, performed at the Guggenheim Museum, architect Phillip Johnson's Glass House, Yoko Ono's Meltdown Festival and the Flaming Lips' Womb Gallery.
Barwick has collaborated with a variety artists including avant garde composer Ikue Mori and singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Her music has been remixed by Diplo, and she was commissioned by Radiohead to remix their song "Reckoner."
Barwick’s most recent recordings are Bach's "Adagio from Concerto In D Minor" (on the charity album Red Hot & Bach) and Rosabi, a 4-song 10” vinyl release of new songs, in conjunction with a Rosabi wasabi red ale brewed by Dogfish Head Brewery.
