Bare Wires broke up immediately after the 2012 SXSW festivities due to an "on stage meltdown" and resulted in the 3 of them to move on and do their own thing, respectfully. While Matthew Melton took little to no time whipping up Warm Soda back in Oakland, Ca, bass player Tennent McCabe decided to temporarily stay in Austin while figuring out his next move. That move came quick after meeting Orville Neeley (Obniiis, A Giant Dog), and asking him and Max Vandever (Fleshlights) to join. After 6 months of playing around the city of Austin, McCabe decided to return home to Oakland and reform his band. After a few more line-up changes, Bad Vibes is now better than ever. Consisting of Joey Genovese of Big Tits fame on bass and Matt Costa on drums, Bad Vibes are definitely worth keeping a hypnotized eye on.
