Media, marketers, politicians and people can shout all they want, but honey (and humor) draws more bees than vinegar. Some have figured this out, but does using humor really get their message across?
This session will provide an in-depth look at why humor is such a powerful messaging tool and will explore: whether humor actually helps us to understand reality or if it's distorting it, the reason why humor works for getting messages across in today's partisan society, the importance Millennials place on a sense of humor, what the large-scale success of comedy news/satire shows like The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight say about society, as well as the reason why certain people and brands just aren't funny.
