Crooked Bangs are an ominous postpunk pop garage band from Austin, Texas. They're a tight band playing unhinged music or possibly vice versa. As a whole, it comes together like a lost Factory Records band letting off steam with some Nuggets classics in a freewheeling but taut Peel Session. Europe 1978 layered onto America 1965 and delivered to a punk scene that's dissatisfied with 2012.
