TOY
Described as engaging, beat-driven rock with a dark side, the music of TOY draws from a wide array of influences. Taking inspiration from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Deadmau5, Rihanna, and MuteMath, TOY carves a new path from where their respective experiences left them wanting more. The result is inventive and adventurous modern music, where synth, supercharged riffs, and heavy beats all connect over soaring melodies. Based out of Los Angeles, the group joined forces in early 2011 with a shared vision of how to incorporate so many different styles into one cohesive act. Made up of Alana Grace, Spencer Bastian, Christian Meadows, and Ryan Folden, in the short time the group has been together they have already toured Kuwait and Iraq and taken the stage with acts like One Republic, Lifehouse, the Counting Crows, Uncle Kracker, and Family Force 5. The heavy beats, intricate orchestrations, and powerhouse hooks make TOY an act to follow.
