The Abramson Singers
Influenced by American old-time music and classic songwriters of the 60s and 70s, Leah Abramson (formerly of Dyad, The Crooked Jades, Octoberman) writes haunting folk-noir originals about truck drivers, lost love and old maids.
Lauded by UK magazines fRoots and Maverick, the debut Abramson Singers album (S/T) was released in Feb 2010, followed by festival performances and tours throughout Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and the UK.
The Abramson Singers were recently selected out of hundreds of applicants for the Banff Centre Indie Band residency where they started recording a new album with producers Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire) and Tony Berg (Bob Dylan).
