Owing much to their southwestern roots, Guns of Navarone craft a brand of melody-driven alt-country and Americana rock that would've fit comfortably among the forebears of the genre. Formed in the spring of 2009, the quartet immediately began writing songs and playing in and around Austin. In November of 2011, they released their debut full-length album, "Prize and Battlefield." The album was recorded, produced, engineered, and mixed at Premium Recording studios by John Michael Landon and Chris James.
