Caspar Sonnen

Caspar Sonnen is Head of New Media and founder of IDFA DocLab at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). Since 2007, he curates, commissions and showcases digital and immersive art, ranging from XR and AI to sensory installations, full-dome and immersive theatre. In 2018, Sonnen initiated an artistic R&D Program in collaboration with MIT and various partners across the immersive field. Previously, Sonnen co-founded the Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam.
