Dustin Portela

Dr. Dustin Portela, a board-certified dermatologist & dermatologic surgeon, specializes in skin cancer surgery, facial reconstruction, prevention, and medical dermatology. He's published articles and lectures nationally. He graduated with honors from Idaho State University (Zoology) and Des Moines University (Medicine), earning the Award for Excellence in Physiology. He interned at Oakwood Southshore Hospital and completed his dermatology residency at Beaumont Trenton Hospital, receiving the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award. He's a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dedicated to patient-centered care, he founded a mobile clinic for free skin cancer screenings in underserved areas.
