Michelle Shwarzstein

Michelle Shwarzstein is a dynamic leader in independent film distribution. She holds a degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and an MBA from UCLA Anderson. Her diverse career spans marketing, sales, hospitality, and entertainment. In 2012, she joined Brainstorm Media and learned the business from industry veterans. By 2016, she led acquisitions and marketing, driving the company's expansion. In 2023, she became CEO, leading a passionate team dedicated to innovative, filmmaker-focused distribution. Since then, Brainstorm has distributed such films as The Other Zoey, Limbo, New Life, LaRoy, Texas, and 2023 SXSW’s Cora Bora and Grand Jury winner Raging Grace.
