Your Film Played a Festival – Now What?
If you’ve been lucky enough to have your film selected to a prestigious film festival such as SXSW, you might expect that getting a distribution deal would be a natural outcome. Unfortunately securing US distribution, particularly theatrical distribution, can be as competitive as getting accepted to the festival itself. This panel will explore why many US distributors are buying less, what makes a film appealing to buyers, and how that compares to the international marketplace.
Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
