Emma Gueorguieva
Emma is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Computational Affective and Social Cognition Lab. She received her B.A. in psychology at UT Austin in Spring 2023, graduating with highest honors. Her undergraduate merit was also recognized by multiple awards, including the prestigious, faculty-nominated Dean's Distinguished Graduate and UT Co-op George H. Mitchell Academic Excellence Awards.
As an interdisciplinary researcher, her work spans across the fields of psychology, linguistics, and human-computer interaction. Broadly, her research interests span across natural language, empathy, affect, and AI. Additionally, she is affiliated with the UT Austin NLP and Computational Linguistics Group.
