Owen Brown

Owen Brown is an award-winning music video director, creative director for major artists and brands, music film lover and a SXSW-winning filmmaker. He's worked with Jay-Z, Apple Music, Barack Obama, Bob Moses, SOFI TUKKER, Stella Artois, Rema, A R I Z O N A, Google, ZHU and Budweiser.

Since he began directing in 2020, he’s won 20+ awards for his work at places like the Webby Awards, Clio Awards and at SXSW, where he’s been nominated for best music video, won a grand prize and served on SXSW's film festival jury, judging the music video category. He's also been an official speaker at SXSW, won best director at the Clio Awards and shown his work at TED Talks around the world.

He’s the founder of CTRL5, a first-of-its-kind creative agency for artists. He started it to use his background working for Barack Obama's 2008 campaign, as well as creative agencies like Anomaly, to help musicians create game-changing, award-winning album rollout campaigns. Through it, he's given every artist he's worked with in the past five years their most successful music video of all time.
