Jashima Wadehra
Jashima is a Punjabi-New Yorker and the founder of Ode, a multicultural marketing and talent management agency. She takes a “lived experience meets data,” approach to marketing and strategy. Ode creates content, produces events, manages talent and consults on international markets.
Ode was most recently named one of 12 BIPOC artist management agency’s to watch by Business Insider. Jashima’s talent roster has worked with Universal Music Canda, Mass Appeal, Audiomack, Netflix, Tunecore, Amazon, Spotify, VEVO, Lincoln Center, Meta, Applaus, Kulture Khazana, 5XFest, DesiFest and many more on the talent campaigns, events and brand strategy.
Prior to launching her agency, Jashima served as a freelance writer covering topics across music, culture, and grief. Jashima has interviewed the likes of Alok v Menon, Sid Sriram, AR Rahman, Sandy Gill, Ex-EIC of Vibe magazines, Danyel Smith and many more. Jashima is a champion for helping under represented artists retain equity.
She is preparing to release her first poetry book, “Valeti,” meaning “foreigner,” featuring a series of short poems in transliteration and album.
