Benjamin Goggin
Benjamin Goggin is an award-winning journalist covering technology and the internet at NBC News. In addition to overseeing the work of a team of reporters, his reporting focuses on child safety online, internet subcultures, online extremism and new influence.
At NBC News, he has published a series of reports documenting child exploitation on social media platforms including X, Discord and other applications. Previously, at Business Insider, he created and managed a team of reporters focused on covering and investigating online culture and influencers.
In 2023, he was awarded an Asian American Journalists Association Award for Excellence in Business and Tech reporting, for his investigation into child exploitation on the Amazon-owned app Wickr. Following his report, the free version of the application was shut down.
