Stopping Deepfakes on the World’s Biggest Social Platform
With the rise of gen-AI, social media platforms have struggled to moderate AI-created content.
In the last year, we've seen Taylor Swift deepfakes shock the internet, AI-generated "slop" like "shrimp Jesus" invade our feeds, and faked speeches of presidential candidates go viral. And still, half of US adults say they get some of their news on social media.
This session will cover risk areas in AI safety, how platforms are addressing them, and what the future of AI-content moderation might look like. We'll cover examples of viral AI-content and how platforms responded.
