Chiara Hollender
Chiara Hollender is an Iranian-American filmmaker based in New England.
Chiara’s work is deeply rooted in the complexity of women’s stories, and the beauty of nature.
Over the course of her career, she’s dedicated her time to disrupting the homogenization of women narratives while using the power of documentary film to help heal our relationships to the natural world. She is deeply committed to increasing the visual representation of women's contributions to climate healing, with the intention of providing role models for girl-identifying youth across America.
In 2019, Chiara began documenting the experiences of female land stewards in the United States which has culminated in an ongoing documentary series created in collaboration with PBS Digital Studios.
