As Vice President and Director of Hugo, Corgan's innovation and research team, Samantha elevates data-driven design around the human experience, examining the various impacts emerging technologies and evolving human behaviors will have on the future user experience and built environment. Keeping a pulse on industry innovations, Hugo provides a platform for Corgan to explore, experiment, and develop products with experts from various industries, enabling Corgan to break into emerging markets.
Samantha has pioneered human-centered design research around intuitive wayfinding, olfactory architecture, age simulation, and immersive sensory spaces. Additionally, she has lead the development of investigatory publications such as the Curiosity Report series, the Hybrid Report, and Designing with Mass Timber. She is currently a firm resource in AI tool development and deployment, and has designed emerging architectural typologies such as skyports, spaceports, vertical farms, and mobile data centers.
Prior to Hugo, Samantha has six years of experience as an architect in Corgan’s Aviation studio, designing international airports such as Shanghai Pudong International Airport South Satellite, DFW, LGA, and London Heathrow. Samantha received her Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University, and her Masters of Architecture from Princeton University.
