Peres Owino
Peres Owino is an Emmy-nominated Kenyan-American storyteller whose accolades include her directorial debut, BOUND: AFRICANS VS AFRICAN-AMERICANS, which won the Women In Film Lena Sharpe Award at the Seattle International Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles. She co-wrote the 2024 Emmy winning, Netflix show, AFRICAN QUEENS – NJINGA, and the hit, QUEEN CLEOPATRA, nominated for the 2023 National Film Awards. Her screenplay, SEASONS OF LOVE, which was produced by Taraji P. Henson was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing of a Television Movie in 2015. A classically trained actor, and comedian she performs standup across Los Angeles and is repped at CAA, RMG and Yorn, Levine et. al
