Peres Owino

Peres Owino is an Emmy-nominated Kenyan-American storyteller whose writing credits include the 2024 Emmy winning, Netflix show, “African Queens – Njinga,” the National Film Awards nominated, Netflix show, “Queen Cleopatra,” the NAACP Image Award nominated, “Seasons of Love”, produced by Taraji P. Henson, the NYWIFT Lab winning script “The Basket Weaver” and her directorial debut, “BOUND: Africans vs African-Americans,” winner of the Women In Film Lena Sharpe Award at SIFF and the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the PAFF. A classically trained actor and comedian Peres also performs across Los Angeles. She is working on projects with Gaumont US and Universal and is repped at CAA, RMG, and Yorn, Levine et. al.
