Jason Del Rey

Jason Del Rey is Fortune's tech correspondent and a veteran business journalist. He spent a decade at Recode, reporting on Amazon, Walmart, and the transformation of retail through technology. Jason also hosted the podcast "Land of the Giants: The Rise of Amazon" and produced the highly influential “Code Commerce” event series. In 2019, the National Retail Federation named him one of the “25 People Shaping Retail’s Future.” He covers e-commerce, retail, and logistics for Fortune and authored Winner Sells All: Amazon, Walmart, and the Battle for Our Wallets, which the Wall Street Journal touted as an “engrossing account” of the rivalry between the two retail giants. Jason graduated from Georgetown University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
