Arathi Sethumadhavan
Dr. Arathi Sethumadhavan is a User Research Scientist at Google’s Technology and Society, where she leads user-centered initiatives at the intersection of AI and creativity. Prior to that, she was at Microsoft, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of over 25 AI experiences, incorporating insights from more than 13,000 individuals, including underrepresented communities. Arathi has been cited by the Economist and the American Psychological Association, and has been a World Economic Forum Fellow. She has authored more than 40 articles, holds patents, edited two books, and delivered over 80 talks at national and international venues. She has a PhD in Experimental Psychology from Texas Tech University and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
