Hilary Franz
Hilary Franz is the Commissioner of Public Lands in Washington State, overseeing nearly 6 million acres of public lands since 2017. She focuses on addressing climate change, wildfire preparedness, and sustainable land management. Franz secured a historic $500 million investment for wildfire prevention and forest restoration and developed the State's first Plan for Climate Resilience. With a background as an environmental attorney and Bainbridge Island City Council member, she has consistently championed environmental and community focused initiatives.
