Ronda Lee Chapman
Ronda is TPL’s Associate Vice President of Equity and Belonging, where she works to bring parks and nature to the places, people, and communities that can most benefit as a matter of health, equity, and justice. She has spent two decades leading efforts on climate resilience, water infrastructure and equity, renewable energy, and waste management for municipal, higher education, and nonprofit organizations.
Her journey here began as a curious child who played in the wetlands by her home, but she credits living as a ski bum, kayaker, hiker, and camper in the Wasatch Mountains and all parts of the West as the turning point for her environmental advocacy and desire to connect with more folks who can align with her lived experiences as a woman of color in the outdoors. She has spent two decades leading efforts on climate resilience, water infrastructure and equity, renewable energy, and waste management for municipal, higher education, and nonprofit
organizations. As a skilled facilitator and moderator, Ronda derives great joy convening leaders who are committed to the possibilities of equitable communities rooted in healing.
