Sanah Baig

Sanah Baig has served USDA across two Presidential Administrations. She was appointed by President Biden to serve as the Deputy Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics (REE) in November 2022 after serving as REE Chief of Staff for 1.5 years. In this role, Baig leads the management of a more than $4 billion mission area including the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Economic Research Service (ERS), National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), and the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS).
