Jessamine Burgum
Jessamine "Jesse" Burgum is the founder Pinky Promise's films frequently have had diverse leads - in front and behind the camera. The company's goal is to create and bring to life stories that are written for, by, and about underrepresented voices in entertainment. Some recent collaborators on Pinky's films since their founding include: Sterling K. Brown, Adamma Ebo, Pamela Anderson, June Squibb, Zoey Chao, Andrew Rannells, Nick Kroll, Andrea Arnold, Anthony Mackie, Kristian Mercado, Scarlett Johansson and more.and CEO of Pinky Promise, a production and financing company founded in 2020. Jesse has raised over $23m in private equity funds and leads a team of women focused on investing in, developing and producing high quality films by creatives from underrepresented backgrounds. She was also just profiled in INSIDER’s 25 Rising Stars in Entertainment in December 2023.
Jesse honed her craft as a classically trained actress at the Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program and Shakespeare’s Globe Education Program in London. She's acted opposite Eliza Scanlen and Lewis Pullman in THE STARLING GIRL, which she also produced.
