Jesse Burgum is Founder/CEO of Pinky Promise, an indie production company whose mission is to bring stories to life that are written by, for, and about underrepresented voices. Her success precedes her, financing/producing films like “I Don’t Understand You” (which premiered at SXSW last year), “Bird,” and “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.” Through this session (interviewed by Pinky Promise President Kara Durrett), she will discuss her path as a producer/actor that led her to create the company, what's missing from the industry, and how she hopes to empower filmmakers through her work.
