Dillan DiNardo

Dillan DiNardo is the CEO of Mindstate Design Labs, a next-generation psychedelic biotech company designing novel states of consciousness for mental health therapeutics. The company uses large language models, firsthand human experience, and biochemical data to map the biological basis of psychedelic experience and precision-design alterations to the constructs of conscious awareness. Mindstate Design Labs was in the Y Combinator S21 batch and raised a seed round led by Initialized Capital with participation from a number of other VCs and angels including founders of OpenAI, Neuralink, AngelList, Coinbase, Instacart, and Twitch. The company is currently in clinical studies for its lead program.

Prior to Mindstate Design Labs Dillan worked at UPMC Enterprises, a $1 billion venture fund, executing and managing more than fifty biotech, medical device, and healthtech investments ranging from pre-seed to publicly traded companies. In addition to his investment capacity, he held operating roles in the spinout of over a dozen early-stage companies.
