Sarela Herrada

Sarela Herrada is the co-founder of SIMPLi, the leading maker of regenerative organic pantry staples. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, in and around farming communities, Sarela has always been passionate about building resilient and sustainable food systems. She spent her early career in supply chain and food management at Mayorga Organics and Nike, before joining CAVA to led the supply chain team.

Sarela sits on the board for the Regenerative Organic Alliance and is an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of Business. She was named to the Inc Magazine’s Female Founder 250 list and by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year in the Mid-Atlantic in 2024 and resides in Philadelphia with her husband and co-founder, Matt Cohen and their two children.
