Matthew Weinberg

Matthew Weinberg is a General Partner at Max Ventures, an early-stage venture fund based in New York City. In his role as GP, Matt has led several prominent investments for the firm, co-leads fundraising efforts, and has incubated multiple companies internally. Prior to joining Max Ventures, Matt was an Obama Administration White House appointee and served as Senior Advisor in the Office of Investment and Innovation. He helped drive federal programs that directed over $6 billion in capital to investment funds, early-stage technology companies, and accelerators and incubators across the country. Matt is an op-ed contributor for Forbes, TechCrunch, The Hill, and several other publications. He holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
