A weary Singaporean mother, Grace, leads an exhausting life as a personal assistant, balancing work and household duties. Her only solace comes from feeding a stray cat, a brief escape from her demanding routine. While her husband’s nightly loud snoring disrupts her sleep, Grace prays to Buddha for relief. One fateful day, she encounters a sickly man who resembles Buddha, who she falls ill from and is admitted to the hospital. Embracing the peace of her hospital stay, Grace dreads returning to her old life. Desperate to extend her respite, she resorts to self-mutilation, keeping her family unaware of her escapade.
