Protect Kids Online: Changing the Future of Online Child Safety

Date TBA

The increase of online child sexual exploitation and abuse is a crisis that devastates the lives of children globally. Although tech tools exist, little has been done to implement and enforce them–until now. In May, Congress passed a landmark bill, The REPORT Act, the first piece of legislation in 2 decades, requiring Big Tech to better report crimes against children. It was a victory due in part to initiatives like ChildFund’s award-winning #TakeItDown. This panel examines the issue, progress, roadblocks, and the role public pressure campaigns make to ensure all children are safe online.
